blind address:

a receiving point with discreet identity, for example, a post office box (blind POB) as a confidential pick-up point, i.e., where it is intended that true identity of the recipient remains unknown. Blind addresses are used in business to protect proprietary plans and activities such as planning and initiating enterprise development projects.

Savvy resource and service providers engaged in site selection anticipate handling confidential information and dealing with blind addresses. Addresses are sometimes those of go-betweens shielding or fronting for prospects, for example, site location consultants working discreetly on business relocation projects—see the definition of location work.

A blind shipping address, on the one hand, refers to a receiving point having an address that doesn't match with that of the party responsible for requesting the shipment. On the other hand, the expression refers to the address given, say, for the party responsible for filling an order although shipped from a different address on the order-filler's behalf.
