location search:
See the last
page in
the .network introduction series if you are interested
in searching for a location.
This resources archive you are using is the the .network Site
Location Assistance website, in case you hadn't noticed. Here are several
suggestions for searching
for a location ...

The information published in the .network Find Me Here website from the
Global Registry of Contacts is organized by location. Search for the
name of location you are interested in and look down the list of contacts
to find what appears to be a location data supplier. You should be able,
as a member of the .network target user group. to contact
a location data supplier and ask questions or request the specific business
information you want from the place of interest. In the event that the
contact you find does not show a link and/or information so that you
can move on, you can anonymously request what you want directly from
us. We will respond to your request by providing personal search services
for free. In the event that you search, but do not find the place of
interest listed in Find Me Here at all, you can, likewise, anonymously
request our assistance without incurring any cost or obligations.

Search for a place of interst in Site Location Assistance.com, using
the same search tool that you find available in Find Me Here.com. The
same free offer of location search assistance is available. For more
information about free search assistance, see the explanation of our
search promise in the series of pages that introduce The Network.

by step make your way towards the place of interest to you. If you want
to know the approach taken by The Network to fill Area Development
pages with listings of locations around the world that want economic
development, CLICK HERE. If you want to see to it that a place of interet
is listed in Economic Development.net without cost or any obligation
on your part, you can make the same anonymous request as indicated above.

Suze Orman:
When Suze Orman's e-book about women and money was offered
for free by Opra Winfrey at http://www.oprah.com, more
than a million copies
in English and approximately 19,000 copies in Spanish were downloaded
during 33 hour period (February 2008). Women & Money in the traditional
paper version was ranked high on Amazon.com where it was, of course,
offered for sale. If you want to know more about this resouce and its
availability copy and paste the following italicized text in the search
box at the top of this page and Google the Web. The fact that the publisher
allowed the free download shows the acceptance of Internet's power.
If the occurance reported above about Orman's book sparks an interest
is in using the power of the Internet for economic development marketing,

Don Tapscott:
Acknowledged for indirectly prompting us to add Change
and Development as a page in the .network glossary. Intelligent
Enterprise Magazine referred to Don
Tapscott as a change
agent and influential
futurist. He's listed here with Alvin Toffler and others who
have made significant contributions to enterprise and economic development
as futurists.

Alvin Toffler:

Acknowledged as an influential futurist because he introduced the expression electronic
cottage in his book, The Third Wave (1980) and, by doing so, influenced
the relocation of Economic
Development Services. Specifically, the relocation was to an electronic cottage
in a mountain community with a sophisticated high tech infrastructure away from
urban sprawl.

In
search of the Electronic Cottage, addresses ... The
geography of Professionals Workers Working at Home and is one source for
more information, another is Information
Society Links. The latter resource is full of broken
links.

When Toffler coined the term electronic cottage he opened the door to thinking about work
practices such as telecommuting.
He revitalized the concept of cottage
industry.
