a geography:

... a geographic area; the ordered arrangement of constituent elements that make up the physical characteristics on the surface of an area. Wikipedia has more information.

The expression, a geography, is loosely used to refer to a selected area, for example, an economic area taking into consideration its physical surface characteristics.

Answers.com defines economic geography as ... analysis of the spatial distribution of the transportation and consumption of resources, goods, and services, and their effects on the landscape. Considering this quote along with a scenario in which an enterprise developer assigns the site selection task of searching for an area that has a unique arrangement of physical characteristics, one can see that the challenge is to find a specified geography. The certain type of geography specified becomes a target location.

A consultant once said ... Location, location, location is not as important these days with really big projects. It is only pertinent if a certain geography is targeted (source).
