In the business world, product is tangible and intangible commercial market input as deliverables. An example of intangibles are informational resources. Services delivered are product. Product can be wares in an inventory and quantifiable items of value that move through a supply chain. Product fulfills wants and needs throughout an economy.
Locations seeking enterprise and economic development are products, as are any other places targeted by enterprise developers for expansions, relocations and entrepreneurial startups. The glossary definition of community indicates how a location becomes product through economic development marketing. Similarly there is product within locations, for example, commercial and industrial real estate sites and buildings.
