site location work ... site selection work; efforts behind a site search; location work which is what a site selector does. Location work as defined here is initiated as part of an enterprise development project and organized in accord with a business plan. The site selection project is part of a plan for an expansion or relocation. It may also be an entrepreneur's plan for starting up a new venture. The work itself goes through the steps of organizing site selection criteria, building a network of contacts (resource and service providers), gathering information, comparative analysis, inspection trips which include negotiating for incentives and deal making as well as organizing for a construction project or a transition to startup.selection is initiated within a thethe planning, preparation, network building, data gathering, analysis, fieldwork, and reporting that goes into the hunt for a place to startup, expand or relocate the operations of an enterprise.
