Business networking events happens when people meet to build and maintain relationships. Strangers make contact to exchange information. Serious efforts are attempts to find mutual areas of interest which might lead to development of working relationships. The group of resource and service providers at a networking event are very important. The other important group is made up of those looking for what resource and service providers have to offer.

The definition of networking event in the Enterprise and Economic Development Glossary states that it can be ... a group gathering organized to bring resource and service providers together with those who are likely to need what they have to offer. Organized gatherings such as trade shows, conventions, and those of many associations often seek sponsors for networking events. Sponsors benefit by promoting to a captive audience.

Networking is a key activity for carrying out the mission of The Network.

Contact directories are published in all three websites of The Network. Start with the definition of directory and scroll down the glossary Appendix B page for definitions of the various types published by The Network. Many contact directories in Site Location Assistance.com and Economic Development.net are available for sponsorships.

Apply for a record in the Global Registry of Contacts to inquire about becoming a sponsor. If you want to know more about the GRC first, CLICK HERE. Send a memo about your interest in being a sponsor as a part of your GRC application. Copy and paste the URL address string for the page of interest. Generally, all pages of the resource archive of The Network are available. Sponsors can pick scattered resources and ask that they be consolidated on pages especially designed for them.

Resources are scattered throughout three websites. Pages available for enterprises to sponsor are easy to spot because it has the promise button as shown here below search results. Take a look at the configuration of linked buttons at the top of this page.

Many of the resource pages of the Regional Site Selection Directory are offered as opportunities for sponsors. Also, pages that follow the global list of nations or the abbreviations for countries in the Area Development Section of the Economic Development Network website are available. These pages are referred to as either contact directories or site selection directories. As such, they are resources useful in the facilitation of business networking.

Except for contact directories and site selection directories, sponsors may select a resource item or topic and ask that it be relocated. For example, small business resource items are scattered throughout the archive. Small business services is a resource topic. Sponsors are welcomed to request that we organize contact and location directories to their specifications.

There are no additional charges for a sponsor to request consolidation of existing resource items to a topic page. The sponsor leases the page as new and has up to 30 KB of space to expand the topic, add additional items, and publish a promotional message with graphics. Items are subject to removed from pages in cases where information is unattended and becomes outdated or links broken. See the disclaimer that guides us in our maintenance of resources.

We (who we are) welcome sponsors who approach us about organizing and publishing custom pages. This includes organizing pages of location listings in Site Location Assistance.com. Custom pages also include organizing contact directories. For example, contact directories can be organized as addendums to the location pages in the Area Development Section of the Economic Development Network website and tied to both the Global Registry of Contacts and Regional Site Selection Directory with links and comments.

Enterprises that qualify to participate in the mission of The Network as resource or service provider organizations are invited to expand their exposure online without cost or obligation by seeing to it that their appropriate employees are listed in the Global Registry of Contacts.

Sponsorship opportunities include organizing and publishing directories listing groups of employee contacts or groups of employee contacts in an ally network.

If, however, a question of cost comes to mind first ... sponsors lease pages for only $250 per year. There are no additional fees for organizing and publishing webpages that qualify as contact directories or site selection directories or that contain mission-related resources.

The webpage space that a sponsor leases can be up to 30 KB in size.
