The Free Dictionary.com's definition of directory states that it is something, such as a book, containing ... an alphabetical or classified listing of names, addresses, and other data, such as telephone numbers, of specific persons, groups, or firms (source of quote). The Enterprise & Economic Development Glossary has a definition of contact directory because we (who we are) are focused here on the quote, although there are additional meanings of directory. Our glossary also offers a definition of contact data, which is information such as ... that which is found on the typical business card.

The Network maintains the Global Registry of Contacts as an open access directory. A GRC search tool is available for your convenience. We also publish links in our websites to other free-access contact directories (example) that are brought to our attention.

We've given ourselves a responsibility to provide contact data to participants in the mission of The Network. Read our mission statement and we think you will agree that it's important for .network core users to be able to get together with their resource and service providers for purposes of building and maintaining working relationships.

You are using an open access network. That means we depend on you and other users to let us know about the availability of resources that should be made available through The Network in addition to alerting us to search results dead ends.

To suggest a resource now, email a URL address string and brief explanation. A suggestions should be freely accessible as well as of interest to our (who we are) core users.

Resources that are simply advertising or bait for a sales offer do not qualify, however, we are happy to review proposals. Caveat: We are not interested in proposals for link exchanges, except from those who qualify as participants in the .network mission.
